I am TEDDY BATOON BALLESTEROS III, a 55 year old male, married with one son. I am a Certified Public Accountant and a Pastor of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Churches of the Philippines.
My Phil. Kidney Dialysis Foundation, Inc. (PKDF) record shows that I started dialysis treatments here on January of 2008. This means I have been coming here for more than 9 years. It feels longer. I came to PKDF because of Dr. Helen Ocdol, the former Medical Director of the Center who is now the Medical Director of Providence Hospital. She has been my Nephrologist for more than 20 years and has saved my life on numerous occasions due to her quick and decisive judgment calls especially when I was in the brink of death. This was also the case with three PKDF doctors on duty who were quick to decide on the proper medical protocol needed to address a life or death situation on three separate occasions, the latest being on November 30, 2016 when I had pneumonia for the first time. Dr. Parreño was the physician on duty and her heads-up assessment of my condition and prompt treatment is why I am alive and kicking up to this day.
The nurses and support staff are excellent and courteous and it is easy to develop friendships with them. The facility is spacious and ample for the needs of its patients.
